Ideal storage conditions for drum units, fusers, transfer belts and other laser printer accessories:
1. temperature:
- Ideal: Between 10 °C and 30 °C
- Avoid extreme heat, which can lead to material deformation or electronic damage, as well as extreme cold, which promotes condensation.
2. relative humidity:
- Optimal: Between 20 % and 60 %
- Excessive humidity can lead to corrosion, electrical problems or damage to light-sensitive components.
3. exposure to light:
- Avoid direct sunlight and intense artificial light - especially for drum units that are sensitive to light.
- Exposure to light can considerably shorten the service life of sensitive components.
4. storage position:
- Store horizontally, in the recommended orientation as used in the printer.
- Mechanical components such as transfer belts or fusers should not be pressed, tilted or stored on uneven surfaces.
5. original packaging:
- Leave in the original packaging until use - it provides reliable protection against dust, light, moisture and electrostatic charge.
6. shelf life:
- Recommended storage period: Maximum 24 months from date of purchase.
- If stored for too long, the function and print image may be negatively affected.
7. avoid shocks and vibrations:
- Device components contain sensitive parts such as heating rollers or transfer rollers - ensure safe and vibration-free storage.

An empty printer cartridge takes around 450 years for nature to completely break down. In addition, a large amount of energy and resources are required to produce each new cartridge. It is important to us that as many consumables as possible are recycled. For this reason, we provide collection containers at public recycling centers.
